[The Walk]

PT

Some dreams seem impossible.
When we have a plan and everything seems to go wrong is inevitable to think if it's a sign that we should give up or just a test to our ability to fight for what we want.

The Walk tells the adventures undergone by Philippe Petit to accomplish his dream at age 24 - what he calls le coup and what would be considered the artistic crime of the century.
After watching him walk illegally on a wire with about 60 meters long, to the height of 400 meters between the twin towers of the World Trade Center for 45 minutes, using only his body and a pole of 8 meters, I felt small, very small - as small as those people who admired him from the floor with their mouth open and the eyes on the air on that morning of August 7, 1974.

  1. I remember this awe inspiring event when it happened. The World Trade Centre was relatively new at the time.
