Hoje apresento-vos um par de amigos que gosta de contar histórias de uma forma muito original... e o nome deste estúdio que cria peças de joalharia que parecem saídas de contos de fadas não podia ser mais indicado: Kiss the Frog. Leiam para saber mais!

Today I present you two friends that love to tell stories in a very original way... and the name of this studio that creates jewels that seem to pop up from a fairytale couldn't be more appropriate: Kiss the Frog. Read along to know more!

Kiss the Frog

Tell us...
1. who is behind Kiss the Frog studio?
Behind Kiss the Frog studio are two friends: Michalis and Myrto (me)... Michalis worked for a long time (and still) as a children's book illustrator and layout artist for 3d animation. I, on the other hand, have studied business administration, but this wasn't for me… so I began with rag dolls - and a separate story for each one! That was it.

2. have you become what you wanted to be when you grew up?
Michalis yes, it was his dream, he had the talent... but he could be a street artist or a full time painter or or or… For myself I really don't know if I'll ever be able to say this is the only one for me. Actually when I was little I’d keep changing dreams, but the strongest was to do something with animals - I just love them. But from a philosophical point of view, we are chasing our dreams and that is what we want for our lives.

3. what inspires you to create?
The inspiration… what a chapter! I could say everything delicate and real. The beauty of an instant moment. A memory well kept…

Share with us...
4. your media of choice.
Media, the big chapter! We love our concept store in Athens but now that I'm thinking about it, the excitement and the world wide sense that you get with platforms like etsy is so high!! Or even the communication through facebook with people with similar taste for art and design is basic for us, like an everyday travel.

5. the favorite corner of your workspace.
The favorite corner does not exist… I mean we feel lucky when we are creating things, either when we work silver or when we work with the sewing machine… but always with Sifis (my sweet little dog) at our feet.

6. a day at work.
Morning-hot coffee (a lot)… walking towards our shop… music always - some media check… new ideas?? Thank god… but making some stock from older designs is necessary… oh, it's late, tomorrow the rest...

7. a business tip.
Always stick to your idea and your point of view no matter what "others" want or what the new trend is.

8. an advice to your younger you.
I don' really like advices… I can only tell my story and how I feel about it.

9. a plan to the future.
We have many plans (despite the difficulties), going to different countries showing our work is the best of them.

Pick one...
10. personality that influences you.
So many, I can't pick… heroes that don't give up.

11. book you think everyone should read.
"The catcher in the rye" J.D.Salinger.

12. unforgetable movie.
"Max and Mary"(2009), "Casablanca"(1942), "1942"(2005).

13. city to fall in love with.

14. favorite food and drink.
Red wine and pasta.

15. guilty pleasure.
Chocolate… late at night.

  1. Really fabulous works!

  2. beautiful and elegant work!

  3. I love their work, very detailed and unique!

  4. "heroes that don't give up";
thank you Mi(chali) & My (rto),
